The best airport route depends on arrival time, luggage and traffic. There is no single answer for every flight, so compare the directness of a taxi with the predictability and cost of public transport.

Why go

Metro Line 3 links the airport with Piraeus services, while the X96 bus runs between the airport and Piraeus. A taxi is simplest door to door, especially for late arrivals or several bags.

Plan it from Dock38

Check the official airport and transit pages shortly before travel. Public-transport journey times include the final trip from the station or port area to Dock38; allow extra margin for flight departures.

Local note

For an early flight, confirm the overnight or first-service timetable rather than assuming daytime frequency. Use the official taxi rank at the airport.

Pair it with

If you are arriving before check-in, the Marina Zeas area is an easier first outing than travelling immediately into central Athens.
