1. Payment processor
When direct online payments are enabled on dock38.com, card and supported digital-wallet payments will be processed by a regulated third-party payment provider such as Stripe. Dock 38 does not store complete card numbers or card security codes on its own web server.
2. Amount and currency
The exact amount, currency and booking conditions are displayed before the customer confirms payment. Unless otherwise shown, direct bookings are charged in euros (EUR).
3. Authentication and payment approval
The card issuer or payment provider may require 3-D Secure or another authentication step. A reservation is not confirmed if authentication fails, the payment is declined or the payment remains incomplete.
4. Receipts and booking confirmation
After a successful direct payment and reservation creation, the customer will receive an electronic confirmation at the email address supplied. Customers should review it promptly and contact info@dock38.com if any information is incorrect.
5. Deposits, pre-authorisations and pay-later rates
Different rates may require full payment, a deposit, a card guarantee or payment at a later date. The applicable arrangement will be clearly displayed before confirmation. Any card pre-authorisation is not a completed charge and the release time is controlled partly by the customer’s bank.
6. Failed or duplicate payments
If a customer believes a payment was duplicated or charged incorrectly, they should contact info@dock38.com with the booking reference and payment date. We will review the transaction and, where appropriate, arrange correction or refund through the original payment method.
7. Third-party platforms
Payments made through Booking.com or Airbnb are handled according to the payment process and terms shown by the relevant platform. Dock 38 cannot alter a platform-controlled card charge directly where the platform is the merchant or payment collector.
8. Security
We use secure HTTPS connections and payment-provider-hosted technology to reduce exposure of sensitive card information. Customers should never send complete card details or security codes by email or messaging service.
