1. Rate-specific cancellation conditions
Dock 38 may offer more than one rate type. The exact cancellation deadline, cancellation fee and payment schedule for the selected rate are displayed before the customer confirms the reservation and are repeated in the confirmation.
2. Refundable rates
Where a rate is described as refundable or allows free cancellation, cancellation received before the stated deadline will be refunded according to the displayed rate conditions. A cancellation received after that deadline may incur the partial or full charge shown before booking.
3. Non-refundable rates
A rate described as non-refundable is not eligible for a voluntary refund after confirmation, except where required by applicable law or where Dock 38 cannot provide the confirmed accommodation.
4. No-show and early departure
Failure to arrive without cancelling, or a decision to leave before the confirmed departure date, may result in the charge stated in the selected rate conditions. Unused nights are not automatically refundable.
5. How to request cancellation
For a direct reservation, send the request to info@dock38.com and include the guest name, booking reference and arrival date. A cancellation is effective when it is acknowledged by Dock 38 or processed through the direct booking interface.
6. Bookings made through Booking.com or Airbnb
A reservation made through Booking.com or Airbnb must normally be changed or cancelled through the same platform. The cancellation and refund terms shown in that platform’s confirmation govern the reservation.
7. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds for direct card payments are returned to the original payment method. We normally initiate an approved refund within five business days after eligibility is confirmed. The customer’s bank or card issuer may require additional time before the credit appears.
8. Cancellation by Dock 38
If Dock 38 cancels a direct reservation because the confirmed accommodation cannot be provided, amounts paid directly to Dock 38 for the cancelled service will be refunded, unless the guest accepts an alternative arrangement.
